Short story accepted in BP’s Indie Writers Deathmatch!

A short story of mine, “Her Shadow’s Bones”, was accepted to be one of 16 short stories competing in Broken Pencil’s Indie Writers Deathmatch! It’s a fun and intense competition for writers where stories are pit against each other in a tournament. Winners are determined by votes, and it’s kind of a free-for-all (comments on the stories themselves get weighted and can be an integral part of the process). The prize package is also wonderful!

What this means, though, is that I’ll need all of your help! On Saturday, February 4th (starting at Midnight tonight!), all 16 chosen stories fight simultaneously in the qualifying round, which lasts until Sunday, February 5th at 11:59:59 pm. Each story is in competition with all others to win the most votes, and the 8 stories with the highest vote counts move on to the 1 on 1 portion of the competition.

So on February 4th and 5th, I’ll need all your help to vote for my story as often as you can (each person can vote once every hour). If my story makes it through, then the process gets repeated until one story is left standing!

Your support and help on these days would mean the world to me ❤
